Details: High-End on a budget!
I purchased the MC-34B based on its cost and the Editor\'s rating. I have an Audio Research amplifier that has blown its right channel and am needing to send it in for repair. I purchased this item to get me through in the meantime while my amp is being repaired. I am wondering now why I spent so much on my current setup when you can get such wonderful sound from something as inexpensive as Mingda MeXing offers. The soundstage is wide and relatively deep. Musical timber is very accurate and it is just down right musical and enjoyable to listen to without any fatigue. I sat up listening last night way past my normal bedtime hour experiencing a great deal of enjoyment. I have the MC-34B hooked up to a pair Eminent Technology LFT-VIII speakers and they are not very effecient speakers and had no problem driving them to an enjoyable level without any sign of clipping. I would recommend this component to anyone who wants a second bedroom system or can not afford to spend megabucks on their first foray into High-End audio. Well worth the nominal expense for the quality of sound and build quality as well. I look forward to getting my ARC VT100 MKII back soon only because I can\'t wait to listen with the new Preamp I also purchased at the same time, the Mingda MeiXing MC-7R. It will be replacing my ARC SP-6A which is long past its prime. I could not resist trying out some of these items based on cost alone. It is rediculously inexpensive even with the cost of shipping; you can not pass it up. I would suspect that any one of thes items will represent a value for surpassing its cost.
